Cathy Dorocak: CIGNA Volunteer of the Month

In July 2002 Cathy Dorocak was selected as CIGNA’s Volunteer of the Month and was awarded $500 to be donated to the charitable organization of her choice.  Cathy has donated the $500 to the Reading for Rachel Fund for TM Research of The Transverse Myelitis Association.

Cathy was honored during a Town Hall Meeting held in the CIGNA offices in Cleveland, the best location in the nation.  Cathy is so deserving of this honor and award.  Her family established the Reading for Rachel Program as a way to raise funds for TM research.  She promotes the program throughout her community and in the TM community around the country and around the world.  Through her tireless efforts, she and her family have raised thousands of dollars for TM research.  Her dedication and her drive have helped to motivate others to get involved in awareness and fundraising activities.

We are so proud of Cathy’s honor and her accomplishments.  We are so grateful for her hard work on behalf of everyone in the TM community.

As a monthly award winner, Cathy is now in the running for Volunteer of the Year; the award for this honor would mean $2,500 for the Reading for Rachel Fund of the TMA.

You go, girl!
